When creating the vision, you start by cleaning up a garden on paper or literally. You determine where the spaces are, opportunities and challenges. You also start observing; From my natural gait - how do I move through the space, what are my walking and sight paths, how do I approach? To match this garden plan to the home, we first expanded the garden over the waterfront. This created a balance in the garden plot around the home.
Living kitchen
The beating heart of the home is the large living kitchen, which seamlessly flows into the adjoining terrace with its fully opening facade. This central element forms not only a visual, but also a functional pivot within the design. The open structure of the kitchen and its direct connection to the garden make outdoor living a natural part of everyday life. The terrace reinforces this interaction and acts as a welcoming meeting place, ideal for long summer evenings, atmospheric dinners and relaxed moments outdoors. It is an outdoor transition zone where interior and exterior merge and real life takes place.

There is also a need for wellness and relaxation in this urban garden. A swimming pool has a large surface area. And thus fulfills a strategic role in the spatial experience. The strategic positioning optically extends the garden, making it feel more spacious and open. The reflection of the water surface adds dynamism to the outdoor space, while the play of light keeps changing throughout the day and brings the garden to life. Moreover, the pool subtly acts as a natural divider between different zones without disturbing the openness of the garden. This creates a logical division of functions without hard divisions.
