CLASSICAL GARDEN
This classic garden on the Veluwe is inspired by Italian architecture. The clients spend a lot of time in Mallorca and wanted to feel this Mediterranean atmosphere in their own backyard as well. The Mediterranean atmosphere was carried through into the planting, paving and gravel selection.
The entrance to the house is castle-like and the design is symmetrically laid out, creating a surprising and playful interplay of lines.
THE TESTING
To emphasize the Mediterranean atmosphere in the garden, symmetry was used. The circular gravel path supports the design of the house. In addition, the architectural use of shrubs and plantings gives the home a soft and soothing appearance.
SPIEGEL FILE
The mirror pond blends seamlessly with the Mediterranean atmosphere of the garden. It runs symmetrically along the rows of Italian column conifers which emphasizes the atmosphere. SOUTHERN ACCENTS
To an Italian garden belongs a Coach House. This has been cleverly positioned to create a courtyard. In the courtyard, residents can relax by the pool and Jacuzzi. Atmospheric vigorous tiles with southern accents make the courtyard one.
STATEMENT FLOWER POTS
The matching pots in the right proportion are a surprising element in the garden. The flower pots soften the necessary paving around the outbuilding. Choosing the right distance between the flower pots creates space. In addition, the pots provide privacy for the outbuilding but do not block the view of the building.
THE PLANTING
Lush plantings were chosen when designing the garden. Many different types of colorful plants and shrubs were used to emphasize the Mediterranean atmosphere. The flower pots used fit seamlessly into the garden due to the choice of materials. To complete this Mediterranean garden, an element of living water was added. BURO Buiten naturally created height where an impressive waterfall finds its way down.
THE DOORWAY
The garden features an architectural passageway. Walking under the pergolas, the resident imagines himself in an Italian park. The passageway is a surprising and spatial element that looks cooling. The vistas give it a playful character. The gravel choice and paving give the passage a powerful character.
