METAMORPHOSIS HOME & GARDEN
During the garden metamorphosis, the house was also addressed. The client bought the house with beautiful ivy against the facade. This needed a lot of attention to keep beautiful. At first, advice was sought for this, but soon this rolled into helping with a design for the new situation. Because with a new exterior, comes a new garden!
A conceptual design
BURO Buiten started sketching blank and created a conceptual design to go with it. What was very important in this garden design: symmetry. Something that can also be seen a lot in the house. The following elements emerged in the garden design: tranquility, the position of the porch, the existing trees, organic and special shapes. An example of a special element is the small terrace that overflows from inside to outside.
LAWN & CAGE CARP POND
Also with regard to the lawn, the client is completely taken care of. For this, we installed a mowing robot that is fully automated. The charging station of the lawnmower is located under the green, making it natural and neatly concealed.
Another, new element in the garden is the cage carp pond. This is top balanced, looking at the height and location of the pond. For this, the indoor-outdoor proportions and walkways were considered.
Mediterranean influences
These people love Italy, so the garden design incorporated Mediterranean influences. For example, there is a large olive tree in the garden and matching gates. A similar gate came across landscaper Peter Bouw while hiking in Mallorca. He took a picture of it and had it custom-made in the Netherlands by a steel man. The rings and scrolls on the gate balance the whole thing.
The lighting plan
A lighting plan was included in the garden design. This has been incorporated in a special way; very unobtrusive, yet stylish!
The entrance is laid out so that you can get anywhere by car. The driveway starts wide and ends narrow at the house. You can also drive the car to the front door in reverse, should you need to carry heavy stuff. Everything has been thought about; from the pebbles and the fence to the cloud bushes.
